WHO WE ARE

Terradonnà is the story of the Rossi family who in the 1950s came from nearby Casalappi when wine was a synonym of family conviviality and had a relative economic value. The material and spiritual heir of the Rossi family is Annalisa, an outspoken and passionate woman who runs the company with her husband Mauro and son Michele. Since the 1950s the world and agriculture have changed profoundly and Terradonnà has in its DNA the ability to always look ahead without forgetting human values ​​that remain strong reference points: family and hospitality. “Whoever comes to our farm joins our family” Annalisa says with simplicity. “Terradonnà is a place where wine is a synonym of hospitality and sharing, where you can feel the atmosphere of home and discover the dimension of the Tuscan family in the most authentic sense”. Here, wine is the link between the territory and the people, an element that together with gestures, words, looks and emotions reveals the human side of Suvereto and its people.          “Working the land, taking care of the vineyards, drinking a good wine are moments in which fatigue and joy alternate and are best expressed by living them together”. The stories of Mauro, Michele and Annalisa carve fresh and immediate words, spontaneous gestures, clear concepts: the authenticity of our wines is based on the roots of tradition but draws life from a dynamic vision where technology is the element that enhances the values ​​that have made our history. “Our wines are appreciated because they identify with our way of being” emphasises Michele who sees the right balance in the family dimension and in the limit of 25,000 bottles. In our farm you can visit an extraordinary mineral exhibition thanks to the passion of our grandfather Romualdo. “And it is the minerals, in particular iron oxide, that give a strong identity to the territory of Suvereto located between the Metalliferous Hills and the Island of Elba, not surprisingly a point of reference in the history of Etruscan civilization. The characteristics of the terroir and a Mediterranean, breezy climate allow a qualitatively excellent production that Terradonnà translates with international and indigenous wines. The labels are abstract images that convey good taste and art, atmospheres and sensations related to the land and wine: the changing shades of the vineyards at the end of the harvest, the intensity of the moment of winemaking and harvesting. Suvereto in a nutshell? “It is a small village that expresses the essence of Tuscany with a dynamic and lively spirit, projected into the future with curiosity and openness”. A walk through the vineyards and a tasting on the farm is a small journey of discovery in the hospitable and welcoming spirit of this territory.
